POLOKWANE – ‘Lets save a life! Imke still has lot of fight left in her’

This is according to message on our Polokwane Review’s Facebook wall: Look out for us on the streets! Staff and students from Salon Deo Volente are going to take to the streets of the city in white shirts with pink balloons in order to sell raffle tickets at R150 each to raise funds for Imke Geldenhuys’ treatment.

Imke was diagnosed with phase four neuroblastoma, a rare cancer which usually occurs in children under five years old, at the beginning of the year. There are currently no treatment options available for the cancer in South Africa and Imke and her parents need to go to Australia to be able to get the treatment needed. The process will cost R6 million.

The money has to be raised and paid by the end of June if Imke is to receive the treatment.

Buy a ticket and become a part of the #Warriorimke campaign to help save her life.

The great prizes up for grabs from various sponsors are:

• Winner
A hunting weekend to the value of R15 000
•Second place
A complete makeover to the value of R5 000
•Third place
Something to fill your fridge, a juicy lamb
