EFF march against rates and taxes
Members from Economic Freedom Fighters(EFF) gathered outside the offices of the municipality in protest against the increase of the municipal rates and taxes that will implemented on 1 July.
POLOKWANE – Earlier today (Wednesday) the members marched to the offices to hand over a memorandum stating that the hike in rates and taxes are too high for the elderly residents and people living on state grants alone. Traffic was brought to a standstill in the area of Lndross Maré and Bodenstein Streets.

According to municipality spokesperson Matshidiso Mothapo the members handed over a memorandum and have now left the area.
All services are reinstated and traffic flow is back to normal.
