LIMPOPO – Harry Sebola (31) and Herbert Serumula (24) who were arrested by the Limpopo tracking unit, appeared in the Mokerong Magistrate’s Court in Mahwelereng today (Tuesday) on charges of kidnapping, rape and murder said provincial police spokesperson, Col Ronel Otto.
Their cases were postponed to Monday 6 June. They remain in custody concludes Otto.
The two friends, Lekwelo Ennie Masola and Nthabiseng Motlaphema were reported missing last Wednesday, and the police, together with the community launched a search party.
They came across the girls’ naked bodies hanging from a tree approximately 3km from the town on Saturday.
42-year-old farm worker from the area who was previously arrested for the crime, was released after further police investigation and questioning, could not link him to the crime, said Otto in a previous statement.
