Suricat teamwork leads to suspect arrest

A Mokopane resident has fallen victim to theft out of a motor vehicle in Thabo Mbeki Drive last Thursday where five suspects stole various items including R50 000 cash from his car.

MOKOPANE – Elvis Nkosi, a reaction-officer of Suricat, told Bosveld: “It is alleged that the man remotely unlocked his car, when the five suspects opened the car doors and within seconds took off with the money and other items.”

Within minutes after the incident, Nkosi, along with two of his colleagues, Bertus Hoffman and Willie Keyser, arrived on the scene and chased after the suspects. “We caught one of the suspects in Hooge Street and handed him over to the Mokopane Police, where they informed us that there was already a warrant out for his arrest.”

Residents are warned to be alert in Thabo Mbeki and Nelson Mandela Drive as these suspects are opportunists who strike when least expected.
