N1 crash: 2 die, driver survives
Two people were killed and one seriously injured in a collision on the N1 South outside Polokwane on Wednesday afternoon.
POLOKWANE – Three vehicles were involved in the accident: a car, truck and bakkie. The two people who were killed and the one injured were traveling in the sedan. Passengers in the other vehicles were not injured, but the vehicles were damaged. One of the passengers who died is believed to be someone who asked for a lift from Johannesburg to Polokwane said Westenburg Police Spokesperson Capt Mohlaka Mashiane.
The driver of the car was transported to a nearby hospital with serious injures.
Mashiane confirmed that a case of culpable homicide is being investigated by the Westenburg police.
“Cause of accident will be part of the police investigation.”
