POLOKWANE – On Wednesday evening the task team arrested a 24-year-old Zimbabwe national found to be in possession of the illegal explosives.
According to Limpopo Hawks spokesperson Lt. Matimba Maluleke, the suspect was traveling in a bus from Zimbabwe to South Africa when he was stopped.
“The suspect’s bags were searched and police found 100 connector caps and fuses and 100 blasting cartridges. It is suspected that the explosives were meant to be sold in Gauteng.” Malueke said.
