Cheers of joy and congratulations filled the hall of Flora Park Comprehensive High School last Thursday evening when the school presented awards to learners that excelled in academic subjects during 2015.
Acting Principal Hosea Mashao congratulated the learners and former learners who are now studying at tertiary institutions and said that the school is proud of the fact that it returned a 93% pass rate for its 2015 Grade 12 learners.
Certificates were presented to top performers that were in Grades 8 to 12 last year and the top performers in each grade also received trophies. The five top achievers in Grade 12 each received a laptop, cash and a certificate that were accepted by parents and family members and one in person. The Grade 12 recipients were Tshwarelo Mavasa, Delpha Sikhweni, Sharon Osunde, Manoko Seanego and Metse Rakau.
Mashao thanked the sponsors who donated the desktops and cash for their support over the past years.
