Outside help brought in to provide basic services

Residents can put their garbage bags out for collection again as outside contractors have been hired to provide basic service delivery.

MOKOPANE – Municipal employees at Mogalakwena Municipality downed their tools on 9 March and since then the municipality has been at a standstill… employees demand the benchmarking of municipalities with the same grading scale to be implemented.

Mayor Parks Sebatjane told Bosveld on Tuesday morning: “We have hired outside contractors to provide basic service delivery as we cannot let the community suffer under the current protest.”

“We apologise to everyone who have been affected by this protest.”
