36-year-old man in court for theft and fraud

POLOKWANE – The man is a suspended Eskom employee. He defrauded the company by allegedly illegally connecting electricity in homes in Mamadimo Park near Mankweng, including his own.

Lt Matimba Maluleke, a Mankweng police spokesperson, said the total loss to the company was R1,2 million.

“This is the second time the suspect is arrested. He was arrested in December for a similar offence and was released on bail. He remains in police custody and the case was postponed to 30 June,” Maluleke said.
