MOOKGOPHONG – Provincial Spokesperson, Col Ronel Otto, said: “Two of the previous mayor of Mookgophong’s vehicles were set alight. No injuries were reported.”
Otto further said: “A total of 28 people have now been arrested since the protest started last Thursday. The members of the public order police are monitoring the situation as people are trying to regroup every now and then attempting to block off roads.”
The N1 outside of Mookgophong has reopened and traffic is moving freely this morning.
