Brace yourself for a bit of wet weather

It is time to get your umbrellas and rain coats out

POLOKWANE – Wet weather is expected to hit Polokwane from Wednesday as temperatures are expected to cool down.

The South African Weather Service says the heat wave over Gauteng, Limpopo and Mpumalanga is expected to end by tomorrow, and that “good rainfall” is expected over the eastern parts of the country towards the end of the week and the weekend.

Rain is expected to fall in Gauteng, Limpopo, Mpumalanga, parts of the Free State and the eastern part of the Eastern Cape, with the weather service also warning of localised flooding in certain areas.

The rain will bring some relief to hot conditions experienced over the last week and is much needed in some areas across the country that are suffering from drought conditions, as well as water shortages.
