POLOKWANE – With warmer weather already occurring this week, temperatures are expected to reach up to 37 deg C on Saturday according to the South African Weather Service, despite no heatwave warning from them.
Rain is only expected on Sunday with thunderstorms forecast.
With extreme heat, it is important that one keeps hydrated and tries to stay out of the sun as much as possible as to avoid getting heatstroke or severe sunburn.
It is also advisable to wear light clothing and avoid black and to wear sunscreen and a hat when outdoors.
