On Friday, 8 January, Forensic Psycho-Physiologist, Lizette Snyman, visited Review offices where she did a polygraph test on journalist, Raeesa Kimmie, who was accused of stealing her employer’s cellphone.

Lizette asked Raeesa a variety of questions, which included personal questions about her life and job, as well as questions relating to the incident. There was a pre-examination interview with Raeesa and Lizette explained the process she will have to go through.

During the examinations, Raeesa was connected to a Lafayette LX 4000 computerized polygraph system simultaneously recording thoracic and abdominal breathing, electro-dermal activity, as well as relative changes in pulse rate, pulse amplitude and blood volume.

A complete analysis of Raeesa’s examination took place subsequent to the completion of the charts collected, and according to the tracings on the charts of the above mentioned examinee, Raeesa consistently showed NO significant and consistent physical responses and indications of deception towards the relevant questions.

“In my professional opinion, the above mentioned person should be excluded from your continuous investigations.

“The examinee consents to the disclosure of the results of the polygraph examination. The examinee consents that everything the examinee said before, during or after the examination may be used as evidence against the examinee in a trial, or any other judicial or administrative proceedings,” said Snyman in her conclusion of the report.

Take note that this is not a real case, but a dummy case used for shooting a video. All of the case facts are fictitious.
