Kimmie wishes Impalas well for 2016

"We urge the public to come and support our teams when we play our provincial home games as this will encourage our teams to do even better."

LIMPOPO – Limpopo Impala Cricket (LIC) would like to wish all its stakeholders a prosperous new year and would also like to thank them for their support in taking cricket to all the corners of this vast province.

LIC amateur manager, Feizal Kimmie, said LIC will strive in its endeavours to improve its relationships with stakeholders as well as improve the standard of cricket in the province.

“We will welcome more participation and engagements from the business sector to assist us with finance so that we can create equal opportunities for all in the cricket fraternity in Limpopo,” he noted.

“Our players need to go the extra mile and continue in their quest to strive for excellence on and off the field. They need to build on their past performance and ensure we qualify for the Rural Week in February. Commitment, pride and a positive attitude must be the values they strive for,” Kimmie continued.

He further said LIC will complete all its fixtures in the coming months. “We are also going to stage the Titans Club Championship in March with the top two teams from Easterns, Northerns, Mpumalanga and Limpopo competing in the inaugural championship. We are very excited to stage this tournament.

“At school level, the Coke T20 Championship continues with the finals taking place in February. The inaugural ladies league also continues.

“We urge the public to come and support our teams when we play our provincial home games as this will encourage our teams to do even better.

“It will also be an opportunity to showcase our young talent to the public,” Kimmie concluded.
