Ready-made first aid kits are commercially available from any pharmacy, but you can make a simple and inexpensive first aid kit yourself... For the first aid kit, you’ll need:
- tweezers
- alcohol wipes
- antiseptic hand cleanser
- Adhesive, hypoallergenic tape
- sterile gauze (four inch squares are best)
- several sizes of elastic/adhesive bandages
- bandage scissors
- exam gloves
- Sterile trauma burn dressing
- Burn shield hydra gel
- eye pads/eye bath
- Sling
- cotton wool
- Plasters – all shapes and sizes
