No bail for UL lecturer’s murder suspect

The 29-year-old suspect arrested in connection with the murder of the 50-year-old lecturer at University of Limpopo (UL) appeared briefly before the Mankweng Magistrates Court on Wednesday.

LIMPOPO – The 29-year-old suspect arrested in connection with the murder of the 50-year-old lecturer at University of Limpopo (UL) appeared briefly before the Mankweng Magistrates Court on Wednesday.

The deceased stepson, Johannes Madiba was arrested on Monday evening.

“Freddy Madiba’s body was found in front of the door of his rented house in the UL grounds by family members on Monday morning . He had several  open wounds to the head and a cracked skull said the spokesperson for the Mankweng Police, Constable Matimba Maluleke in an earlier report.

The case was postponed to the 6 January 2016. The suspect will remain behind bars.
