LIMPOPO – The Limpopo police have advised motorists to avoid the R555 along Burgersfort, Sekhukhune and Roossenekal after protest action erupted yesterday morning.
A number of trucks and busses were set alight, while some vehicles were stoned.
Provincial police spokesperson, Col Ronel Otto, said according to information received, the community is unhappy with the leadership that is representing them in negotiations with the mine in the area regarding employment issues.
The police are monitoring the situation, she said.
