Mi Casa live in Polokwane on 6 December

POLOKWANE – The triple platinum selling trio Mi Casa will perform live at Sun Meropa on Sunday, 6 December.

Tickets cost R120 per person and are available at Sun Meropa or Computicket. Doors will open at 14:00.

Mi Casa, the well known house band that was formed early in 2011, consists of three members, Dr Duda, J ‘Something and Mo-T. They will use the event to launch their new album Home Sweet Home.

The trio took over the house music scene this year with a global tour and performed on stages in Europe, Northern America and over all Africa.

According to the trio the tour gave them an opportunity to collaborate with international renowned producers such as Tortured Soul from the USA, Zeppelin Saint and Nathan Adams from the United Kingdom, Rancid from Holland and Bodhi Sattva from Belgium.

The album Home Sweet Home also afforded young talented producers like Moby Dixon, Da Capo, Cue bur and Dj Guru, Dj McShera and Ten 83 to remix some of Mi Casa’s all time hits.

“Home Sweet Home is a double CD album packed with 25 hit tracks produced by the musically talented Dr Duda, with Mo-T adding infectious jazzy trumpet sounds and I add the melodic, catchy soulful vocals.

It features an array of superstars like Casper Noves, Big Nuz and Dj Tira, Lady Balck Mambazo, Euphonik and the Kenyan super group Sauti Soul,” J ‘Something said.

Mo-T added the album is different from their previous albums as it has more musical elements.

“We are celebrating five years in the industry and are excited that we are still together and getting stronger every year.

“Our first album had no collaborations because we wanted to present ourselves as Mi Casa with our individual talents.

“We moved to the second album, which featured artists such as Black Coffee, Mishka and Jimmy Nevis, with which we have hit tracks like Jika and Your Body,” Mo-T said.
