Mining accident leaves 1 dead and another injured

LIMPOPO – An accident at Palaborwa Copper on Friday morning, left one miner dead and another in a critical, but stable condition.

According to a report on Letaba Herald the miner was killed when a beam fell on top of him. The accident happened at the underground Lift Two Development Project.

All mining operations will be suspended for the next 24 hours. Investigations continue into the cause of the accident concludes the report.
