LIMPOPO – Limpopo police have on Monday launched a manhunt for five men following the gang rape of 17-year-old girl over the weekend.
According to the rape victim from Nebo, Phokoane she was raped by five African males between Saturday 16:30 through to Sunday 09:30 said Col Malesela Lewaba.
The victim alleges that she was accosted by the men in a passage while on the way to the shops. She said they then ordered her to an unused house where they raped her for several hours at gunpoint.
The police appeal to community members who might shed light about the suspects and lead to their arrest to contact their nearest police station.
