POLOKWANE – Social development personnel from across Limpopo picketed outside the Department of sport, arts and culture on Thursday.
Organised by the National Education Health and Allied Workers Union (Nehawu), the protesters demanded that the social development HOD, Daisy Mafubedu step down. They also called for payment of their Performance Management and Development Systems( PMDS) bonuses for the 2013\14 and 2014\15 financial years respectively, the absorption of social workers, and the establishment of workplace forums.
According to the protesters, their plight had fallen on deaf ears for some time and they had had enough.
