Robbers make off with cash in heist

LIMPOPO – There was cash heist at one of the shopping complexes in Hlogotlou in the Sekhukhune district yesterday morning.

According to police spokesperson, Col Malesela Ledwaba, three suspects allegedly overpowered a security guard, who had just collected money from the complex.

“The guard was robbed of a trunk containing an undisclosed amount of cash. The three suspects, who were armed with pistols, fired some shots before fleeing the scene in two vehicles, a white sedan as well as a mortuary vehicle,” said Ledwaba.

The mortuary vehicle was later found abandoned about 30km from the scene, added Ledwaba.
