The department, after receiving a tip-off, discovered the leak on Monday, the same day on which the paper was written.
The situation constitutes a compromise to the question paper, she said.
She said matrics at identified schools may be required to rewrite the paper. Alternatively pupils in the entire district or province may have to follow the same route.
This will depend on the scale of the leaked paper, she said, which can only be determined after the marking process, she said.
@PolokwaneReview the SAPS and the SAA will be brought on board so that perpetrators regarding leaked paper are prosecuted
