Forecaster at South African Weather Service (SAWS), Jan Vermeulen says that no warnings for hail have been issued for Polokwane but thunderstorms are expected on Monday evening as well as parts of Tuesday. “We are expecting rain on Monday afternoon/evening but no hail is expected,” he said.

The rain comes after a heatwave swept the country last week bringing extreme temperatures to the Northern part of South Africa.
