LIMPOPO – A 53-year-old suspect wanted in connection with several crimes in the province was arrested on Friday night at Rathidili, Tshilwavhusiku near Louis Trichardt said Limpopo police.
“The suspect is was arrested during an intelligence driven operation and has been already linked to at least eleven crimes committed recently,” said police spokesperson Col Malesela Ledwaba on Saturday.
The crimes range from business robberies, attempted murder, armed robbery and car jacking committed in the Louis Trichardt, Tshitale , Saselemani, Mogwadi and Modimolle explained Ledwaba.
“The suspect was found in possession of an unlicensed 9mm Norinco firearm and 11x ammunition.”
A case of possession unlicensed firearm and ammunition was opened at Tshilwavhusiku SAPS. The suspect is expected to appear before Tshilwavhusiku Magistrate court soon concludes Ledwaba.
