‘Gym’ for baby’s milestones

Rika has a passion for Baby Gym and she encourages parents to bring their children with to her classes.

POLOKWANE – “The development of babies is of utmost importance.”

“It stimulates the senses and muscles and that in turn prevents learner blockages later,” explains Rika Terblanche, a Baby Gym instructor in Polokwane.

Baby Gym is a physical development programme invented by Dr Melodie de Jager. Dr De Jager  dedicated her life to finding the golden thread between pregnancy, birth and a baby’s ability to adapt to life outside of the womb.

The programme is an ideal way to help parents ensure their child develops according to certain milestones.

Review spoke to Rika at Savannah Mall during the recent Baby Expo. She has such a passion for Baby Gym and she encourages parents to bring their children with to her classes.

She presents classes with babies from one-month old upwards and feels it is important to start as early as possible.

In doing this, babies will develop stronger relationships with their parents.
