LIMPOPO – Three suspects have been arrested in connection with the murder of WO Thomas Mabada (52) on Monday afternoon.

According to Provincial Police Spokesperson, Col Ronel Otto, the suspects were arrested by a team of detectives and crime intelligence members who were investigating cases of business robberies in the Mogwadi area.

“They followed up on information and traced the suspects to the Thohouandou area. The suspects attempted to run, but they were traced down and arrested,” she said.

Otto said further investigations linked the suspects to house robberies, business robberies and vehicle hijacking in the greater Thohoyandou area.

“Stolen goods such as laptops and cell phones were found in their possession. More arrests are expected.”

They are due to appear in court on Friday, she said.

The Provincial Police Commissioner, Lt Gen Fannie Masemola congratulated the team on their sterling work, and said the police would not rest until the remaining suspects were apprehended.
