Staff members of Mediclinic Limpopo offered visitors to Savannah Mall free blood pressure, glucose and cholesterol screening tests on Friday and Saturday.
According to Mediclinic International, listening to relaxed music can reduce the risk of heart disease. “Your heartbeat mimics the music you listen to, so up-tempo music will speed it up, but down-tempo music will slow it right down. This means that listening to 30 minutes of relaxed music a day can help lower your risk of having a heart attack or stroke,” it advocates.
Istha Macmillan, Patient Experience Manager at Mediclinic Limpopo, was also present and ushered visitors through the process.
“Staff members provided visitors with information regarding healthy eating habits and lifestyles and 750 persons were screened during the two days,” Macmillan said.
