Water shortage alert: reservoirs critically low

The high lying areas in city and Seshego will most likely experience water shortages today due to critically low levels in city's reservoirs.

POLOKWANE – The high lying areas in city and Seshego will most likely experience water shortages today due to critically low levels in city’s reservoirs announced a municpal spokesperon, Matshidiso Mothapo on Wednedsay.

“The reservoirs are critically low and most empty. This will result in high catchment areas in Seshego and the city to experience shortage during the day,” explains Mothapo.

High lying areas that may be affected:

Bendor, Flora Park, Serala View, and Ster Park.

Reservoir stats for Wednesday:

Potgieter: 10%

50ML: 3%

30ML: 0%

30ML: 0%

Seshego: 0%

Ext 34 95: 0%

Olifants: 102%

Ebenezer: 171%

The reservior levels where affected due to the Ebenezer plant being offline on Sunday and Monday and the municipality urges residents to use water sparingly to allow reservoirs to pick up.

Residents are further advised to strictly use water for domestic purposes only concludes Mothapo.
