The Queen of the North pageant presents entrants with an opportunity to pursue their modelling dreams whilst learning more about the industry.
Katryn Barwise, organiser will present a free workshop at Mall of the North on 27 November to help entrants prepare for the pageant. The venue is on the second level, where Dion Wired used to be.
Barwise explained that the workshop will be hosted to all the entrants, whether they are experienced models or total amateurs, giving them an idea of what to expect on pageant day.
During this workshop the entrants will also be given tips about how to impress the judges and aspects such as confidence, ramp skills, eye contact and posture.
Barwise said the ultimate goal is for the participants to become role models in their communities and that is why Limpopo Modelling Academy, of which she is the owner, is hosting this workshop.
Entries for the extra category, the Public Choice Award, closes on 9 November. The final closing date is 27 November, while the final judging and announcement of the winner will be on 28 November at Mall of the North. Contact Barwise on 078 371 0909.
