LIMPOPO – Since Wednesday afternoon Limpopo Police have advised motorists to avoid the R36 road between Hoedspruit and Tzaneen.
According to provincial police spokesperson, Col Ronel Otto, a truck was set alight in the area on Wednesday night.
Since Wednesday the R36 road has been blocked with tyres, stones and poles near the Oaks area by residents who are protesting against new demarcations in the area.
No injuries have been reported so far and public order police are on the scene.
“Motorists have been advised to use the alternative routes are via Hoedspruit and Gravelotte,” concludes Otto.
