DA wishes class of 2015 well for exams

Gr. 12 learners across the province started with their national senior certificate examinations today, and DA Limpopo wishes0 all learners the best of luck

POLOKWANE – Gr. 12 learners across the province started with their national senior certificate examinations today, and DA Limpopo wishes all learners the best of luck.

“We hope it is indeed all systems go on the side of the learners’ preparations towards the exams. We urge the learners to aim higher than just a pass and get a pass that allows you a platform in to university,” says DA Limpopo leader, Jacques Smalle.

According to Smalle, learners who will write crucial subjects such as mathematics, sciences, accounting and economics carry the hope for a brighter future for Limpopo.

“The current class must be mindful of the fact that last years’ matric class only improved by 1.1% from the class of 2013. The national senior certificate examination technical report indicates that Limpopo’s matric pass rate has shown a steady climb over the last three years: 66.9% in 2012,
71.8% in 2013 and  72.9% in 2014.”

He added that the DA recognises the efforts of principals, teachers and parents who have provided support, guidance and encouragement leading up to this important milestone.

“Their efforts are crucial in ensuring the success of Gr 12s, not only in their examinations, but also as they move forward to take on the challenges of securing their future.”
