5 people drown during prayer session

LIMPOPO – Five people attached to the Sevumwelwani Church drowned in the Crocodile River in Thabazimbi on Sunday morning during a prayer session.

Provincial police spokesperson, Col Ronel Otto said a woman got into difficulties during the session and the men, ranging in age from 16 to 54 drowned while attempting to assist.

“The woman managed to get to safety,” said Otto.

The police have opened an inquest docket, she added.
