The Saselemani police outside Malamulele need residents' assistance with information on the whereabouts of a 17-year-old girl

LIMPOPO – The Saselemani police outside Malamulele need residents’ assistance with information on the whereabouts of a 17-year-old girl.

According to provincial police spokesperson, Col Ronel Otto, the girl and her one-month-old baby were allegedly kidnapped by a 43-year-old female traffic officer on Friday.

“Hulani Chauke was called by the suspect to say that she will pick her up to assist her with the application of an ID document to register the baby.

“The woman and her baby were reported missing the following day after she did not come home,” said Otto.

Otto said the suspect was arrested in Thohoyandou last night, where the baby was found safe in her possession, but the mother is still missing.

“Anybody with information is requested to contact their nearest police station,” she said.
