LIMPOPO – Four suspects have been arrested in connection with a farm attack on the Matlopi Game Farm near Thabazimbi a fortnight ago.
According to previous information, Magrieta Petronella Res (60) was shot in the head and her 70-year-old husband Bruno was shot in the arm during the incident said provincial police spokesperson, Col Ronel Otto.
“The couple were overpowered by the suspects when welcoming a female friend to Matlopi Game Farm in the Thabazimbi area on Friday afternoon.”
The suspects locked the deceased’s body, Bruno and the visitor in a walk-in safe before they fled the scene.
“Two of the arrested suspects are employees on the farm – the domestic worker and her husband. The two other suspects were arrested in Diepkloof, Soweto,” said Otto.
The suspects are due to appear in the Thabazimbi magistrate’s court on Tuesday.
The search for the five remaining suspects continues, concluded Otto.
