Give Jayden a “fighting chance”
Jayden Da Costa (1) was transferred to Mediclinic Muelmed in Arcadia, Pretoria on Wednesday.
POLOKWANE – Jayden Da Costa (1) is now in Mediclinic Muelmed in Arcadia, Pretoria.
Jayden suffered burn wounds to his face during a fire at his grandfather’s house in Lephalale recently.
He was transported from the Mankweng Hospital to the airport via a private ambulance service.

According to the Hero Burn Foundation Facebook page, personnel from Life Med airlifted Jayden and his mother from the Polokwane International Airport. A representative from Hero Burn Foundation met them at the Wonderboom airport.
“He is critical but stable” said a post on Hero Burn Foundation Facebook page on Wednesday.
Jayden Da Costa’s family previously asked the community for financial help to move him to Mediclinic Muelmed.
“We would like to move Jayden to a private hospital, Mankweng does not have much hope for him, and would would like to give him a fighting chance at Muelmed.”
According to his mother, Sibreena, doctors from Muelmed were in consultation with Mankweng doctors throughout the process.
“The funds that were raised are only able to keep him in hospital for a few days, we plead with the public, businesses and other institutions to open their hearts and help us keep Jayden in Muelmed Hospital for as long as possible.
All funds collected will be directly transferred into Muelmed’s account.
