A homeowner in Lakesfield in Benoni shot dead a suspected robber this morning
NATIONAL – A homeowner in Lakesfield in Benoni shot dead a suspected robber this morning.
According to the Benoni City Times, two men entered the property at around 05:00 this morning.
The homeowner woke up and confronted the two suspects inside the house. He warned them to leave, but the ignored him.
The resident retreated and recovered his firearm.
One his return, one of the suspects approached him with a screw driver and the homeowner fired one shot and the deceased died on the scene.
The man was shot outside the house and his accomplice fled.
A case of house robbery and an inquest docket has been opened at the Benoni Police Station.
