PCS Learners excel in biannual English Eisteddfod competition

Learners of Pietersburg Comprehensive School did their school proud at the recent English Eisteddfod biannual competition held at Pietersburg English Medium Primary School.
Learners battled for top honours against fellow primary school mates from Flora Park Comprehensive, Ivy Park and Mitchell House in choral verse, rap and storytelling as well as formal and dramatised poetry.
Onthatile Shilajoe, Grade 2, was awarded a certificate in recognition for his outstanding achievement in individual dramatised prose and poetry. Gundo Mukwevho achieved 98% in formal poetry; Sakhiwe Shezi attained 90% in formal poetry and Rudo Mashaba 99% in dramatised poetry. Tsebo Sekole performed well in storytelling with a score of 98%. All the learners were bestowed certificates for their achievement.
Gundo Mulaudzi, Neo Tawane, Lethabo Masogo, Matsobane Legodi, Melodi Chokoe, Tshifhiwa Magadani and Nicolette Mahlangu were announced as section winners in the Choral Verse section.
They were also bestowed with certificates in recognition for outstanding achievement and they also received a big golden stamp on their certificate.
