Oosskool learners spread the love

Mr and Miss Laerskool Pietersburg-Oos (Oosskool) finalists together with some gr. 6 learners visited the less privileged people at the Ivydale Shelter

POLOKWANE – Sharing is caring, and a caring heart can make a big difference in society. Mr and Miss Laerskool Pietersburg-Oos (Oosskool) finalists together with some gr. 6 learners visited the less privileged people at the Ivydale Shelter last Friday where they treated the residents to hot dogs and cold drinks.

They also made a donation of 30 kg viennas, 12 bags of potatoes (10 kg) and an 80 kg bag of mealie meal.

Bernard Cronje and Corina Stears, Mr and Miss Oosskool finalists, said they adopted the shelter as part of their social and welfare project.

“We have to make a difference in someone’s life as part of our project. We have to support, care and share happiness and laughter with these people. This can help them forget about their situations and feel loved,” says Stears. The winner for the Mr and Miss Oosskool competition will be announced on 27 October.
