Back pain: What is your bag of choice?

Review speaks to several residents of the city regarding their most comfortable bag choices.

POLOKWANE – Proper backcare is of utmost importance if you want to continue living pain and ache free into your old age.

The National Backcare Awareness Week was launched to raise awareness of proper posture, signs of back pain, complications related to back pain and how best to manage back pain.

Back Awareness Week is marked to educate and make healthcare workers and member of the public aware of the problems of back pain, common causes and risks, complications, management and prevention.

With this in mind Review speaks to several residents of the city regarding their most comfortable bag choices.

Melita Modiba.

Melita Modiba says the bag she uses the most is her school bag, this is also her favourite bag because it is comfortable and she can keep all her necessities for daily school life in it.

Duncan Mokobodi and Harvey Mogano.

“A side bag is my favorite bag to use because it is comfortable, light and portable,” is Harvey Mogano’s opinion.

Duncan Mokobodi says he likes his school bag the most because it can carry everything he wants and it is very comfortable for himself.

Monica Strauss.

For Monica Strauss, the ideal bag is a handbag that is big enough to fit everything you need, but still small enough not to overburden you. “Preferably big enough to hold a spare shirt in case of an emergency,” she jokingly explains.

Susan van Aswegen.

“I like a tour bag because I can go everywhere with it, I can go on road trips, airplanes and even trains with it. It is very comfortable to carry and covers all my needs,” says Susan van Aswegen.

Hannelie Bernard.

Hannelie Bernard says that she liked the book bag she used back when she was still in school.

“You could put almost everything in it, your books, your food and even if you wanted to bring along something funny, the bag was big enough to hide it between your books.”
