Mediclinic Limpopo Day Clinic opens their doors to patients

The first patient to be admitted was a 3-year-old girl. She said 'I am here to have my tonsils removed and am not scared at all'

POLOKWANE –The Mediclinic Limpopo Day Clinic received the first patients on 1 September (yesterday).

The first patient to be admitted was a 3-year-old girl in for her tonsils.

The hospital was built by Rokkon Development and is on the corner of Plein and Jorissen Streets, just 200m away from the existing Mediclinic Limpopo.

“The clinic will have 26 day beds, where patients can book in in the morning and leave after their operation. There are also three theatres. Patients will book into the hospital in the morning and by 19:00, every bed should be unoccupied. There will be no night staff except for the cleaning staff.”

“Exclusive day surgery will be performed at the clinic and we cannot wait to open,” said Mediclinic Limpopo patient experience manager, Istha McMillan previously.
