Two of the country’s most respected brands in their respective fields, Fruit & Veg City and Chevron, have teamed up to bring you one of South Africa’s most exciting new retail partnerships in years, called FreshStop at Caltex.
FreshStop maintains its market leader position in the convenience store retail market in South Africa as it opened its 200th store last Thursday on the corner of Marshall and Campbell Streets in Ivydale, Polokwane as Caltex Ivy Park opened their proverbial doors for trading.
FreshStop Ivy Park is the first FreshStop store to open in Polokwane and the 89th store to open in the inland regions of the country.
It took five long years to get this new to industry site off the ground but it was worth all the challenges and struggles.
David de Jager, one of the Directors at Caltex Ivy Park, said he and other Directors Pieter de Jager and Jan Kampherbeek Snr have worked very hard to make this venture a reality. “This has been a long anticipated venture for us and we are very proud to finally be a part of the FreshStop brand, which is making history in the convenience retail sector in South Africa,” he explained.
FreshStop Ivy Park offers customers a range of fresh fruit and vegetables, a selection of grocery items and a hot food section with a range of freshly baked pies, muffins and confectioneries. For customers and commuters on the go, the store has an extensive Grab ‘n Go section offering freshly made sandwiches, salads and wraps.
Need a great cup of coffee to keep you going? Pop into FreshStop Ivy Park and grab yourself a Lavazza coffee and enjoy the free in-store Wi-Fi while you enjoy your cuppa.
Additional in-store services include an Aramex overnight courier service and the store serves as a Pargo store-to-door drop-off point for customers who have purchased items online. Customers can also purchase airtime, data and pay for their electricity in-store.
“We are thrilled about the opening of this site and as the first FreshStop to open in Polokwane. We’re incredibly proud to fly the flag for FreshStop in this province. We will continuously strive to offer customers the best quality products and service at affordable prices. Pop in and see what we have to offer,” De Jager added.
Joe Boyle, Director at FreshStop, says, “This store, and all it offers, definitely makes it worth the prestige of being our 200th FreshStop store. To celebrate our achievement with such a magnificent fuel forecourt is a proud moment for everyone who is involved with the FreshStop at Caltex brand. FreshStop is honoured to be the c-store on site and we will endeavour to ensure the continued success of Caltex and FreshStop. Congratulations to David and his team for making this happen and we warmly welcome you to the FreshStop at Caltex family”.
FreshStop was named International Convenience Retailer of the Year in 2013 and is South Africa’s fastest growing 24-hour convenience store brand.
