POLOKWANE – The focus in Limpopo basketball shifted to school sport at the Ngoako Ramatlhodi Sports Complex in Seshego on Saturday when Mohlakaneng faced off with Baphutheng in the high schools category.
The games were hosted under the umbrella of the Department of Sport, Arts and Culture before the School Sport Championships. The 62-4 score favoured the homeside, Mohlakaneng.
Baphuteng came up with the most juniors from Solomandale Pacers while Mohlakaneng was represented by the bulk of the Seshego Sonics B squad.
Baphutheng’s point guard, Decius Ramoadi, conceded in a post-match interview that “poor communication let us down. There was no liaison after the first quarter and the opposition took advantage of that. We started on a high note in the first quarter but our play just disintegrated after our opening quarter recess.”
