Platinum Stars FC warns of trials scam in Limpopo

Platinum Stars FC is alerting people that someone is using their club's name to take money in exchange for trials.

LIMPOPO – Platinum Stars FC is alerting people that someone is using their club’s name to take money in exchange for trials.

Stars public relations and communications officer, Tebogo Mochadibane said the team is not running any trials in exchange for money.

“Someone by the name of Jabulani Masilela is using the club’s letterhead and claims to be sent by the club for registration trials. He request parents to make a deposit at the Shoprite Money Market.

Platinum Stars FC has never and will never ask money in exchange for the talent scouting we usually do. Parents and supporters are urged not to participate in the scam as this has got no relation to the club.

To report any scam activities, please contact your nearest police station and alert the club on (014) 573 4700,” said Mochadibane.
