LIMPOPO – One person died and two others were injured in a “freak” accident on the R36 outside Tzaneen, reports Citizen.
According to the report on Citizen, ER24 said paramedics were alerted to the accident scene on Tuesday evening.
“Once on the scene, paramedics discovered two bakkies parked on the side of the road. Three bodies lay in the middle of the road,” ER24 said on its website.
“Paramedics were informed the glass panes had been blown off the first bakkie and had then collided into the occupants in the back of the second bakkie, throwing the men off the moving vehicle.”
Advanced life support was given to one of the injured before they were all taken to the Letaba Hospital for urgent medical treatment.
“Unfortunately, upon arrival at hospital, the critically injured patient succumbed to his injuries,” said ER 24.
