POLOKWANE – Economic Freedom Fighter (EFF) leader, Julius Malema is back in the Polokwane magistrate’s court today for his racketeering, fraud and corruption trial.
The trial was postponed yesterday as one of the co-accused, Kagiso Dichabe was hospitalised and could not attend.
Adv Mike Hellens, representing Malema, asked the court for a separate trial for his client, stating that Malema was ready to stand trial.
Malema is facing charges including racketeering, fraud and corruption, along with his co-accused Lesiba Gwangwa and Dichabe.
Malema and his business partners were previously accused of misrepresenting themselves to the department of roads and transport which allegedly lead to a R52 million contract being awarded to On-Point Engineering.
