Donation thanks to the Rotary Anns

Pietersburg 100 Rotary Anns donated food and blankets to the children at the cancer ward at Pietersburg Provincial Hospital on Monday.

POLOKWANE – Pietersburg 100 Rotary Anns donated food and blankets to the children at the cancer ward at Pietersburg Provincial Hospital on Monday. The club president Megan Ross, says the donation is part of their charity work and projects.

“The children will keep warm and have a blanket that belongs to them. One of the Rotarian’s mothers made the blankets,” Ross said.

The children had broad smiles when they received their blankets.

Rotary is a section 21 non-profit organisation, they help the underprivileged communities.

One of the mothers of the patients expressed their gratitude and says she is happy that there are people who look after the children. “It is very cold this year and I’m happy that my child received a blanket that he will go home with when he is being discharged from the hospital,” Mariam Mamabolo explains.
