Mediclinic’s day clinic to open soon

In July last year, the official building of the new Mediclinic Limpopo day clinic started.

POLOKWANE – In July last year, the official building of the new Mediclinic Limpopo day clinic started.

According to Mediclinic Limpopo patient experience manager, Istha McMillan, the hospital was built by Rokkon Development and was situated on the corner of Plein and Jorissen Streets, just 200m away from the existing Mediclinic Limpopo. It was estimated that building of the new hospital would take 13 months to complete and was set to open on September 1, McMillan said.

Slowly but steadily the building of the clinic came together and the doctors and other personnel said they were very excited about the opening.

The clinic will have 26 day beds, where patients can book in in the morning and leave after their operation. There are also three theatres. Patients will book into the hospital in the morning and by 19:00, every bed should be unoccupied. There will be no night staff except for the cleaning staff.

“Exclusive day surgery will be performed at the clinic and we cannot wait to open,” McMillan concluded.
