POLOKWANE – Gr. 10 Northern Academy learner, Linda Chidi (16) was crowned the Face of Polokwane 2015, which was held at the Library Gardens auditorium on Saturday.
Chidi is a model with Sweet Best Models and she participated in the 13 to 25-year-old age group at the pageant.
“I have always been interested in modelling and have been doing it since I was in gr. 4. I joined Sweet Best Models two years ago,” said Chidi. She said she had always believed that she had the qualities to be a model and entered pageants.
“I was very surprised to win the Face of Polokwane crown because the other models were also very good, which made the contest even tougher. But I am very happy about this achievement,” she said.
Maite Makgato, owner of Sweet Best Models, said the next pageant would be Mr and Miss Polokwane in October.
