LIMPOPO – IN commemoration of Mandela Month, LoloLera Foundation donated 178 blankets to Seshego Ikageng drop-in centre recently.

According to LoloLera Foundation founder, Lerato Makgotho, they wanted to continue with Nelson Mandela’s legacy of spreading love and helping those that are less priviledged.

“Like other residents, we also wanted to make a difference in other people’s lives.

“Most of the people we assisted are needy and by so doing we want them to feel warm this winter,” said Makgotho.

“We encourage all residents and business people to continue giving at any time and not to wait only for the month of July to do so. We should continue with what Tata taught us while he was still alive. He taught us to share what we have with those who are less fortunate,” she said.

Expressing her gratitude, Johanna Mokwena, the centre manager at Seshego Ikageng drop-in centre, said they were humbled by what the foundation did for them.

“We will be forever grateful for what the foundation did for us. Some children went to bed without blankets and we are happy that they will have warm blankets this season. We urge the foundation to continue with their good work of spreading their kindness to others who are in need,” said Mokwena.
